REASONS Introduction
1. The claimant has made a claim of indirect discrimination against the respondent under section 19 of the Equality Act 2010 (“the Act”). The respondent defends the claim both on its merits and as to jurisdiction. The claimant is a party litigant, but is a solicitor, and the respondent is represented by Mr Milne.
2. There was a Preliminary Hearing held on 27 March 2026 before EJ Doherty after which this hearing was fixed. It is to determine whether or not the Tribunal has jurisdiction over the claim made by the claimant under section 123 of the Act.
